Private View Parking
Thursday 17 May
6 – 9pm
Regrettably, AAF is no longer able to purchase any parking in the main Temple Meads railway station car park (owned by APCOA) for our Private View visitors. Therefore, you would need to pay and display at a rather costly £11.30. Better alternatives are below:
AAF has a limited amount of free visitor parking in the car park belonging to Brunel’s Old Station. Visitors are only able to park in this car park if they have a Private View invitation with the AAF parking voucher attached to it. Please remove this voucher from the invitation and display it on the dashboard of your vehicle so it is visible to parking attendants and to avoid being fined.
At the Temple Circus roundabout take the exit for Temple Meads but stay in the left hand lane and start indicating immediately as you will need to turn within 20 yards of the roundabout. The first Victorian building on the left has an archway into the car park area. It is still signposted ‘British Empire and Commonwealth Museum’.
This voucher cannot be used for free Private View parking in any other car park and only in the designated spaces in Brunel’s Old Station. It cannot be used in the APCOA pay and display car park next to Temple Meads railway station where you will be fined by the car park owners.
Once this area is full, there are several reasonably priced car parks within a few minutes walk of the fair. Temple Quay Parking, accessed via Pipe Lane/Friary Street off the main Temple Circus roundabout, Temple Gate multi-storey behind the Holiday Inn opposite the station, and Portwall Lane, slightly further afield, all offer evening parking for approximately £2.50.
Parking During Public Opening
Friday 18 – Sunday 20 May
Parking is available at all times at Temple Meads station. The open air APCOA operated car park charges £11.30 (day rate) and £6.80 (daily weekend rate). Please note that it is more expensive to park under the covered car park by the station.
There are several other public car parks within five minutes walk of AAF that are much cheaper. These include Temple Quay Parking, accessed via Pipe Lane/Friary Street off the main Temple Circus roundabout, Temple Gate multi-storey behind the Holiday Inn opposite the station, and Portwall Lane. Bristol also operates a park and ride scheme (not on Sundays).
AAF is unable to take responsibility for any visitors parking in the wrong place. Prices are correct at time of going to press.
